This comic exhibits pronounced bindingrelated damage driven by advanced staple oxidation, which has materially affected the paper at and around both staple positions. The severity of corrosion and the resulting paper erosion raise uncertainty regarding the continued functional presence of the staples, particularly at the centerfold fold, and necessitate close, sectionbysection inspection. While the front cover retains attractive color saturation and recognizable artwork, structural integrity is compromised by staplearea deterioration and associated tearing and loss along staple channels. Interior pages remain present and readable with consistent ageappropriate toning and good artwork clarity; however, the centerfold reveals elongated voids, torn fibers, and dark corrosion staining where staples would typically anchor the fold. Brittle test imagery shows flexing over paper already weakened near binding areas. No restoration indicators are observed.
